Skat Klub
A German Card Club
Looking for a new card game to master—or just want to enjoy a night of fun and friendly competition? Join the “Skat Klub”. SKAT is a classic and strategic German card game played with three players and a 32-card deck. It’s been called the “King of German card games” for a reason: easy to learn, but full of depth, skill, and just the right amount of luck.
We meet twice each month at the German- American Society:
First Friday of the month – Preis SKAT in the Library
This is our competition night, where experienced players gather for serious play and friendly rivalry. Games begin at 6:00 PM, and we usually finish up before midnight.
Third Friday of the month – Beginner’s Night in the Ratskeller
Everyone is welcome! Whether your brand new or just a bit rusty, we’ll provide
instruction, answer questions, and even supply a printed copy of the official rules.
Games begin at 6:00 PM
Skat Clinic – New Players to the game of Skat can schedule per request, send
email to gas.skat.klub@gmail.com a Skat beginner session of around two hours with max three new players per instructor.
If you love cards and enjoy good company, come give SKAT a try!
