Singing Chorus

The Sängerchor is the German-American Society’s mixed chorus, continuing a musical tradition that grew from two earlier singing organizations: the Omaha Musik Verein and the Concordia Ladies Singing Society. The chorus performs primarily German music in four-part harmony and helps preserve an important piece of German-American cultural heritage through song.

Rehearsals are generally held Tuesday evenings, and the Sängerchor is a member of the Nord-Amerikanischer Sängerbund and German Sängerbund. The chorus also accepts outside performance engagements.
